Program Information

The Vocal Performance Program (VPP) is all about performing! Students in the program perform at least monthly. Much more than your typical high school performing arts experience!

Performance opportunities in an average year:

  • Three Full-Scale Productions: A drama, a musical & a comedy
  • Two Family Weekend Performing Arts Showcases
  • Weekly Chapel services with special music performances
  • Monthly Open-Mic Nights held on campus
  • On and off campus Holiday concerts
  • Performances with Minnesota Opera’s Project Opera program (classical track)
  • Senior & Junior recitals
  • Three concerts for our Board of Trustees Weekends
  • Off-campus concerts for Recruitment & Development

Students in the program decide to follow one of three tracks within the program:

In addition to a full college preparatory academic schedule, VPP students follow a common curriculum of courses and lectures including:

  • Upper School Choir and/or Chamber Choir
  • Performance Class –Master Class with Director & Guests
  • Repertoire & Literature Class
  • Music Theory
  • Piano Class
  • Yoga
  • Physical Training
